“Hello, my sexily tousled wife. What do I owe this pleasure?” he asked, as she slid him into her body.

They both moaned at that hot, wet, slick slide into that delicious heat. It was enough to send shivers down both of their spines.

“You were being you, and that’s enough of a reason to want to ride my Indian brave.”

Oh, he’d take it any day. There was no way in hell he’d say no. Callen, if anything, was easy.

And she loved him like that.

“It’s good to have you back,” he said, as she began moving in his lap. Callen rested against the headboard, so he could watch her body move above his.

His wife had put on some of the precious weight she’d lost after her and Ethan separated.

Ethan had found his way back, and gratefully, so were her sexy curves.

  He loved them.

Callen wanted to run his mouth over each and every one—like he did last night. He knew her body with his eyes closed. There was a mole on her hip, there was that sweet belly button he loved to tease with his tongue, and then there was the curve of her breast.

  Perfection.

As she rode him, his hands went to her hips to slow her down. He watched her breasts bounce, the pulse in her neck, and the sexy, red flush that continued across her body.

“This might be my favorite way to wake up,” he admitted, as his wife used his body to get off.

  He was okay with that.

When she came, she shouted his name.

Callen took that as his sign that it was now his turn. Rolling, he placed his wife beneath him among the tangle of sheets. Then he began moving, driving himself into the wet warmth of her body as she wrapped her long legs around his hips.

“Yeah, beautiful. Just. Like. That,” he muttered, punctuating each word as her body constricted around his in a silken vice.

  It was perfection.

“Mmmm,” she said, staring up at him. His long brown hair had fallen down around them as if covering them in a curtain. That was her favorite position when in bed with Callen.

Elizabeth loved to get tangled up in that silkiness. It got her hot and wet, and he knew it. That was likely why he wouldn’t let anyone near him with scissors.

That was the surefire way to get into her britches, and he knew it.

More importantly, above all, now she felt safe again.

  “Hello, sexy Native man.”

He grinned down at her, even as he took them both for one hell of a ride.

“Want to do something really dirty?” she asked, getting his attention.

“Like you have to ask,” he stated, as he repeatedly buried himself in her body.

  Again, he was easy.

If it involved her, sex, and an orgasm—he would be the first person in line—and he’d knock his brother over to get there too.

“After this, how about I order room service, and you and I eat bacon naked?”

  He laughed.

  Yeah, she was back.

  Here was the proof.

“I have a better idea. How about you get on your knees, and you let me check you out from behind?” he asked.

  “Intriguing.”

Callen stared down at her. “I wasn’t really asking. That was me telling you what I wanted. Since you woke me with your mouth, I want to really have a good wake up.”

  Well, he had a point.

She’d used him to get off.

“I like when you’re all bossy in bed.”

  What a coincidence…so did he.

Elizabeth pushed him off her body and did as he asked. When she wiggled her ass, he took in the sexy wife buffet.

One of the best things about his wife was she wasn’t hesitant or shy when it came to sex. She was wild, and a borderline freak in the sheets.

  Thank.

  Freaking.

  God.

When his hand landed on her ass, she wiggled her butt even more to tease him.

  “Mrs. Whitefox, don’t be bold.”

She loved when he called her that. For the longest time, she worried he’d never feel like he was cohesive with their unit. This proved he did.

To him, she was Elizabeth Whitefox.

To Ethan, she was Elizabeth Blackhawk.

  And to her?

  She was in orgasm Heaven.

“Come to daddy,” he muttered, as he worked his way back into the warmth of her body. Slowly, deliberately, he took his time to make sure she felt every single inch of him moving into her. Callen wanted his wife to know he was there, with her, and they always had this.

The feeling of him filling her was beyond amazing. The way his hands gripped her hips, and the sound of his breath escaping his lips…

“Harder,” she whispered, as she held onto the headboard of their poster bed.

  Callen obliged.

He held her hips and drove himself into the wet warmth of her body.

“Welcome home, angel,” he muttered, feeling his whole body beginning to tingle.

Yeah, the end was near, and he was ready to blow.

  “So close,” she whispered.

“Hurry, beautiful,” he muttered, trying to cling to the edge. It was so hard. Callen was a sucker for his wife’s ass.

It was one of his favorite parts.

  In fact…

As he slid in, he had an idea. Callen knew he would have one shot, one slide, and he was going to cum.

“Tell me when you’re ready,” he hissed.

Elizabeth focused on the pleasure. She focused on how he was struggling to contain the need. When his hand crashed against her bare cheek, again, she knew it was time.

  “Callen!”

He heard it in her voice. As he slid out, he had a better place to bury himself, and he did.

He found his way into her ass in one long, smooth stroke.

She shouted in orgasm and surprise.

  He shouted in overwhelming pleasure.

  They both came.

Callen poured into her like some horny teenager on prom night. He couldn’t believe how many times he had sex with her over the night, and he still wanted her.

  He was a lucky man.

As they collapsed onto the bed, he was spooning her body. Callen was still buried in her, and she didn’t try to dislodge him.

  “That was nice, Mrs. Whitefox.”

She snuggled back against him, and his arms went around her body. For the first time in the last four weeks, she felt at peace and safe.

  “Yeah, it was.”

“I can’t wait to get you home. Want to have sex on the jet?” he asked.

She laughed. “You are a machine.”

“I’m perpetually horny, and that’s all because of you. When you wake a man with your lips on his dick, you’re asking for a long day of torment. It’s like this is your first day at the Callen rodeo.”

She snorted. “Blame me. You’re a horn ball because I gave you a blowjob.”

“Pretty much. Men are simple creatures. Sex, sex, food, guns, sex, beer, sex—and in that order.”

She laughed at his antics, and because with the Blackhawk boys, that was pretty damn accurate.

  He rolled her over.

“Are you better?” he asked, brushing some of her raven black hair from her face.

“Yeah, I think I am. I’m sorry I didn’t see that I can’t be the strong one all the time and that I can let the men I married carry me when I’m too tired to do it myself.”

He kissed her on the freckled nose.

“I know you’ve had to be the strong one through Ethan’s abduction, my past, and then what happened with the Chris thing, but you can lean. I’m here. Ethan’s here. Well, in spirit, and I’m glad because that’s more sex and Lyzee tail for me. Now I need food, guns, and beer, and my day is complete.”

  She smacked him.

  “Harder. I liked it.”

  She kissed him.

They stayed like that, cuddling into each other to find that wonderful comfort.

“I see that now. I still hurt, but now I know I can give it to the men in my life. I don’t want to be a monster, Callen.”

There was no way that was going to happen, but he understood what she was saying. They didn’t think that could happen, but her fears were valid.

In their line of work, it was always a possibility.

  “And if you find her?”

“I’m going to kill her. Period.”

  “Then?”

“Then can I dance naked with chicken bones around her bloody body?” she asked.

“Not quite where I was going with it.”

“I know. I don’t know what will happen next. Is it wrong?” she asked.

“Yeah, but she crossed a line.”

“Why can’t the crazies just be crazy?” she asked. “Why do they always have to make it personal? I don’t go barging into their lives to stir the pot.”

He snorted. “Yeah, would that be too much to ask?”

  “You know what I mean.”

“I do, and this is why you’re heading the violent crime unit. If you don’t want to, then…”

  She stopped him. “Callen.”

“What? I wasn’t going to tell you to retire. I was simply going to say then work a different division. That’s all. There’s guns, drugs, counterfeiting…oh my!” he teased.

  She snorted.

  He had a point.

At least in all of this, he didn’t tell her to quit her job. Since Elizabeth’s talk with them on the Bonnie case, they’d been really good about not telling her how to do her job. Of course, she hadn’t had a big case since Bonnie and the men in her life tended to be…overprotective.

This one time, she wouldn’t kick their asses for doting.

She needed the time off. Now she was better. They were better, and that meant she could do her job.

“We could take more time off. You jumped back into work so fast,” he admitted. “Want to go to an island? I got my advance on my fourth book. We can all go. You, me, Ethan, and our brood.”

  She thought about it.

  “Maybe.”

That was the first time she’d ever said that. Usually it was a steadfast no. It appeared that his wife was beginning to realize that she couldn’t wear herself out like she had been doing.

  That made him happy.

“Oh, I have something for you,” he said.

  She lifted a brow.

  “What?”

He rolled over and grabbed his suit jacket that was on the floor. Out of it, he pulled a little black box.

  She stared at it.

“Oh, a ring,” she said, remembering their talk last night before they had their disagreement at the party.

  He laughed.

“You don’t have to make it sound like I’m giving you poison ivy,” he teased. Callen loved giving her things, even if she hated it.

That was her cross to bear.

“I’m grateful,” she said, staring at it like it was the worst thing she could ever get. “I’m just not a ring person. I only wear my wedding rings.”

“I know, my love, but I told you I wanted to get you something.”

She took it from him, and hated being an ungrateful bitch. It just made her uncomfortable, and she really didn’t like rings.

  “Open it.”

She flipped the lid open, and Elizabeth was surprised by what was inside. It wasn’t a ring.

There were two beautiful diamond stud earrings.

  Yes, they were flashy.

But they did kind of grab her attention.

“I know you don’t like rings. Here’s the moral of this jewelry story,” he said. “I’m aware of what my wife likes, needs, and wants. Trust in me. I have your back.”

  She got it.

  “They are gorgeous.”

“I saw them and thought about you, naked, and wearing nothing but those two studs—and you wearing a Native stud,” he teased as he pointed at himself.

She put them into the holes in her ears.

They flashed fire. She could see them in the mirror across the room.

“You look beautiful, and every day, you steal my breath when I see you.”

  Her heart skipped.

“Know what I do want?” she asked suddenly.

  That had his attention.

“What?” he inquired. “More Native lovin’? I think I’m good for a few more rounds,” he said, getting hard again. “Some shower sex before ‘going home’ jet sex?”

She snorted. “Bacon. I’m in the mood for bacon.”

He laughed. “I feel so used and should have seen that one coming. I’m slipping.”

Elizabeth leaned in and gently kissed him. In that one mating of mouths, she shared everything she was feeling for him. Slowly, she broke away.

“Thank you for the earrings. I’ll wear them all the time,” she vowed, touching the feather necklace she was wearing from him. It sat beside the key Ethan had given her.

“You are welcome. You earned them.”

  “From the sex?” she asked.

“No, the last book was your idea, and it exploded. You’re good at this plotting thing. Maybe you can help me with the next one,” he said, kissing her on the nose.

  She could do that.

“I tell you what. I’ll go call room service at the main house, and then we’ll fornicate in the shower until the bacon comes. After that, jet, jet sex, plotting, and home to our kids.”

He wouldn’t look a gift wife in the mouth.

That sounded like the perfect day to him.

“I ask a lot of questions, so what kind of fornicating are we talking about?” he asked. “Are we talking dirty, raunchy, and Jackson James fornicating or Callen Whitefox fornicating?”

“I like both, but how about we do this?” she said, whispering all the perversion in his ear.

  His dick reacted.

  He was rock hard.

“Jesus, I’m glad you’re back. Never leave me,” he said, leaving kisses all the way up her neck.

“I won’t leave. When we get back, we’ll find our other sexy Native, regroup, and have some fun. Tomorrow, we go back to work. I need to find a new case. It’s time.”

“Maybe start on an easy one,” he teased. “Like who is molesting you now,” he said, cupping one of her breasts as he lecherously wiggled his eyebrows. “I’ll give you a clue. His name is Wallen Chitefox. Arrest him and use handcuffs.”

  She laughed.

“I think I’ll know what case to take when I see it, Wallen Chitefox,” she said, moaning as he played with her nipples. “Callen James,” she whispered breathlessly.

He knew he had to let her go or they’d be napping after the next round.

“Order us some food, woman, and then I want you riding my dick,” he pointed. “Jackson James is all stirred up, and he needs his slut.”

She kissed him like it was the last time she’d ever see him. When she broke away, he was breathing heavily.

  “God! Hurry!”

She slid off the bed and left her clothes on the floor. She knew he was watching her.

“If you really loved me, you’d put those heels on and nothing else,” he admitted. “I like the fantasy of you being my sexy plaything.”

She did it, hopping toward the door as she slipped them on one at a time.

“Then get your ass back in bed, woman. Screw the shower. Let’s have more horizontal sex!”

She winked at him and opened their door. As she headed toward the table in their private living room to call the main house, the smell hit her first.

It stopped her in her tracks.

Yeah, her old friend death was in the house.

  Literally.

That bitch was back and way too close for comfort. Instead of calling Callen, she investigated.

Elizabeth cautiously moved into the room, staring at the head she could see over the couch.

Well, that wasn’t there last night. She was pretty sure she’d recall a dead body during th
eir lecture.

  This was NOT good.

“Uh…Callen,” she called. “I need you.”

“What?” he shouted back. “Do you miss my dick already? I like when you play wanton hussy,” he teased.

  “Callen, please. Hurry!”

He heard it in her voice.

  Callen raced toward her.

The smell hit him, too, and he stopped fast beside his wife. When he reached her, they stood beside the couch looking at the body. She was cut into pieces at her joints and restrung together like some sick marionette.

Someone had a field day with this set up. It was one of the sickest things they’d seen, and that was saying a hell of a lot considering what they’d just dealt with.

“Uh, what the fuck?” he asked, checking out that her hands and head didn’t match the rest of her body. Parts of the woman were Caucasian and parts were African American.

Someone was either three days past crazy or they were making one hell of a statement.

Callen prayed it was the first one.

“There’s a note,” he said, knowing that this wouldn’t be a coincidence, or good. When a killer left a note for Elizabeth, they were always calling her out.

  ALWAYS.

The freak out was about to commence.

  “Yeah, I saw it.”

Well, now didn’t she feel silly standing there with only heels on.

Then again, she wasn’t the only naked woman in the room. She had company on that.

“Just read it and get it over with,” Callen stated, knowing it was going to be horrible.

  Damn.

  Damn.

  Damn.

She picked up the note with a tissue she pulled from the box on the table.

  ‘Elizabeth,

Do you want to play a game?

  The Puppet Master.’

“Well, like I said. I’ll know when I’ve found the case I want to take. I think I found my newest case,” she admitted, “or it found me.”

Yeah, and the irony wasn’t lost on Callen.

  And he hated it.
